August Meeting Happenings–Greenville

8 08 2008

I didn’t snap any pictures at the Greenville meeting; I was too busy!  We had 16 moms join us for our largest group yet.  We do sometimes have men join us for the Greenville meeting and they are always welcome.  We just didn’t have any dads last night.  Some of the Clemson moms showed up to mingle with the Greenville moms.

Our topic–Traveling while Babywearing–disintegrated quickly into guffaws as we found ourselves discussing lack of seatbelts in some countries and what to do if your car breaks down on I-85.  After the topic, it was a free for all.  We dug into the substantial babywearing stash to find something we would like to try and the slinging commenced.

If you came to the meeting and didn’t get a chance to talk with Makesha (she was wearing a baby in a powder blue wrap), spread the word about her Prenatal Yoga Class.  She teaches each Wednesday night for 12.00/class.

As the end of the group approached, I admired the moms wearing sleeping babies.  It is my favorite time.  The babies have found their sleep spot and moms have a chance to chat awhile.  Too bad the library doesn’t permit coffee in the meeting room.  Bother.
