Greenville Meeting Highpoints

6 02 2009

It was so nice to see the Greenville group again!  We had some new faces and some newborns since the last meeting in November.  I love how many dads come out to the Greenville group.

Since we had not met in a few months, our topic was a general overview of carrier types.  Then we broke up to let folks try out carriers and to get help with their own.

I love when expectant moms join the group.  I wish we had more women checking out babywearing before their babies are born.

Meanwhile, I learned something new at this group.  Did you know a product  exists to hang your baby on the bathroom stall??

Baby sleeps soundly as dad tweaks their Moby Wrap.

Hope to see you next month!

:-) When I first saw that thing, I didn’t know whether to laugh or cringe. It’s so dehumanizing. Most people wouldn’t hang their DOGS on a door while they peed. Not that you’d need to of course. But is there a good way to keep your child safe and germ-free while using the restroom? Once Suzi got big enough to be in a mei tai or wrap with her legs out, it was very awkward and I handed her off to someone else if they were available.

this is the most absurd, and dare i say, most stupid thing ever.
why not just wear the baby in a normal carrier and go to the bathroom with baby on you?????
